Startup and Configuration of SNAX Creator-2
Inquiring About SNAX Creator 2 Objects
You can also use INFO, NAMES, and STATUS commands with a SUBSYS object −see
“Inquiring About SNAX Creator-2 Objects,” later in this section.
Obtaining File System
The LISTOPENS SUBSYS command displays a list of all file system opens that apply
Open Information
to the specified SNAX Creator-2 subsystem and information associated with each. The
command syntax and a sample display are provided under “LISTOPENS SUBSYS
Command” in Section 4, “SCF Commands for SNAX Creator-2.”
Obtaining Version
The VERSION command displays the version of the SNAX Creator-2 subsystem. The

nondetailed and detailed versions of the VERSION command display the SNAX
Creator-2 product number, SNAX Creator-2 version number, release date of the
product, and the product identification code. The command syntax and sample
displays are provided under “VERSION Command” in Section 4, “SCF Commands for
SNAX Creator-2.”
Obtaining Statistics
The STATS SUBSYS command is used to display statistical information about the
openers, receive queue, and memory pool associated with the SNAX Creator-2
subsystem. In addition, for each statistical counter returned, there is an associated
timestamp returned that indicates when the sample was taken. When the RESET
parameter is present, all of the statistics counters are restored to their initial values
after the statistics are displayed. The command syntax and a sample display are
provided under “STATS SUBSYS Command” in Section 4, “SCF Commands for SNAX
Creator-2.”
Inquiring About SNAX
The INFO, NAMES, and STATUS commands are used to provide information about
Creator-2 Objects
SNAX Creator-2 objects.
Obtaining Object Attribute
The INFO command is used to display attribute values associated with one or more
Values
objects of a given type. For example, INFO CONNECTION displays the names of the
connections served by a SNAX Creator-2 subsystem. The DETAIL option yields
additional information, except for CONNECTION and SUBSYS object types. The
command syntax and sample displays are provided under “INFO Command” in
Section 4, “SCF Commands for SNAX Creator-2.”
Obtaining Object Names
The NAMES command displays the names of all objects of the specified object type.
For example, NAMES APPL displays the names of APPL objects controlled by a
particular SNAX Creator-2 subsystem. The command syntax and sample displays are
provided under “NAMES Command” in Section 4, “SCF Commands for SNAX
Creator-2.”
Obtaining Object Status
The STATUS command displays information about the current state of one or more
objects. For example, STATUS SUSBSYS displays the name of the SNAX Creator-2
process, the number of times it has been taken over by a backup process, and the state
of the backup process. The command syntax and sample displays are provided under
“STATUS Command” in Section 4, “SCF Commands for SNAX Creator-2.”
