Reinstall the spark plug. NOTE: Remove the spark plug and drain all of the oil from the cylinder before attempting to start the trimmer after storage. 4. Thoroughly clean the unit and inspect it for any loose or damaged parts. Repair or replace damaged parts and tighten loose screws, nuts or bolts. The unit is ready for storage. Lubricate the pawl and ratchet at least twice a season with a silicone type lubricant. Figure 21 shows the left hub cap. To take off the hub caps, remove the two hex nuts and lock washers on the inside of the wheel. Remove the hub cap. A cotter pin holds the ratchet in place. The pawls must pivot freely.
