Never use pipe dope. To achieve a leak-free thread connection, turn the male fitting until it is finger tight, then add one or two more turns. Over-tightening can cause splitting and failure of the female threads. A Important: Ensure the Y-Filter, Jar Top Valve and Pressure Regulator are installed in the correct flow orientation. Flow direction arrows are provided on each component. Refer to Figure 1 and Figure 2. 1. Using the Close Nipple, install the Ball Valve to the Jar Top Valve inlet.
The full circle model is preset to 6 GPM, 360° arc and 25° trajectory. To adjust these settings, use the following procedures. Adjust Flow Flow is adjustable from 1 to 9 GPM • Part Circle - Factory preset to 3 GPM • Full Circle - Factory preset to 6 GPM ► Tip - Flow adjustment can be made wet or dry. Insert edge of Toro tool (provided) into slot of flow adjust ring. While holding top of nozzle with thumb, turn flow adjust ring in either direction to align arrow with desired flow rate numb
Construct triple swing joints for each sprinkler as shown in Figure 1. Use PVC or ABS pipe nipple for sprinkler connection. Note: On sites where the possibility of heavy equipment rolling over a sprinkler exists, the swing joint will flex preventing damage to the lateral or main lines. On a new installation in raw ground where the sprinklers are to be initially installed above the finished grade and lowered when new turf is established, the swing joint allows sprinkler repositioning without chan
This is the non-adjustable side of the watering arc. Turn the arc adjustment ring to align the white arrow to the right side of the watering arc. Turn the adjustment ring 90° to the left to decrease the arc. Changing Nozzle The TR50 sprinkler comes with eight additional nozzle sizes from 1 to 9 GPM. To change the nozzle, use the blade end of the sprinkler tool or a screwdriver to turn the nozzle screw out until it clears the nozzle. Pry the nozzle out at the bottom and install the new nozzle

From the shut-off valve, route a supply pipe to the valve installation site. For UV protection, use dark gray Schedule 80 PVC on the inlet (pressurized) side of the valve and all PVC pipe installed above ground. Use Class 200 PVC on the underground sprinkler lines. 2. Flush the supply line thoroughly to remove all traces
CAUTION: Use Toro Waterproof Wire Connectors (Model # 53687) or grease caps on all wire splice connections to prevent corrosion, connection failure and short circuit. 7. At the sprinkler timer, connect the white common wire to the output terminal labeled “C” or “COM.” Connect each color-coded valve wire to the numbered output terminals in the order you wish the valves to operate during the automatic watering cycle. 8. Open the shut-off valve from the water source. Test valve operation using the
