Matrix Database Solution Pack for Oracle HiAv on Linux
2
• Defect 14208. The management tools (mxdb CLI and MxDB-Oracle-
HiAv GUI) internals did not properly handle certain like-named
databases (e.g., PROD1, PROD11). The 3.5.1 release handles like-
named databases.
Open Issues and Workarounds
The following open issues affect MxDB-Oracle-HiAv.
• MxDB-Oracle-HiAv defect 16307. Uninstall Failure Case. If a valid
.matrixrc file does not exist, the rpm -e command will hang when
attempting to uninstall MxDB-Oracle-HiAv. It is mandatory that a
valid /root/.matrixrc file exist on all servers intended for use with
MxDB-Oracle-HiAv before the product is installed.
• Sun Bug 4255200. Certain actions in the MxDB-Oracle-HiAv Graphical
User Interface will raise modal dialog boxes with feedback to the user.
These dialog boxes often require a button click as acknowledgement
of the message. If the dialog box becomes tiled behind the GUI, the
GUI will seem to be “frozen.” If this situation occurs, it will be
necessary to tile through the windows on your display to find the
modal dialog box.
