Connect your camcorder to the input jacks of the recording device. 5 Start the playback on your camcorder, and record it on the recording device. Refer to the instruction manuals supplied with your recording device for details. 6 When dubbing is finished, stop the recording device, and then your camcorder. Printing recorded images (PictBridge compliant printer) You can print out still images using a PictBridge compliant printer, without connecting the camcorder to a computer. Connect your camcorder to the AC Adaptor to obtain power from the wall socket (p. 20). Insert the “Memory Stick Duo” containing still images into your camcorder and turn on the printer. Connecting your camcorder to the printer 1 Turn on your camcorder. 2 Connect the (USB) jack of your camcorder to the printer using the USB cable (p. 112). [USB SELECT] appears on the screen automatically. 3 Touch [ PRINT]. When connection is complete, (PictBridge connecting) appears on the screen. The operations may not be performed properly. – To operate the POWER switch. – To press (VIEW IMAGES) – To disconnect the USB cable from the printer. – To remove the “Memory Stick Duo” from your camcorder • If the printer stops working, disconnect the USB cable, turn the printer off and on again, and restart the operation from the beginning. • You can select only the paper sizes that the printer can print. • On some printer models, the top, bottom, right, and left edges of images may be trimmed. If you print a still image recorded in a 16:9 (wide) ratio, the left and right ends of the image may be trimmed widely. • Some printer models may not support the date printing function. Refer to your printer’s instruction manual for details. • You may not be able to print the following: – images edited by a computer – images recorded by other devices – images of 3MB or more – images with a pixel size larger than 2848.2136 z Tips • PictBridge is an industry standard established by the Camera & Imaging Products Association (CIPA). You can print still images without using a computer by connecting a printer directly to a digital video camera or digital still camera, regardless of model or manufacturer. • You can print a still image when viewing it using tab t [PRINT] on (OPTION). Playing a disc on other devices Playing a disc on other devices Finalizing a disc (p. 42) let you view movies recorded by your camcorder on other DVD devices. However, we do not guarantee proper playback on all devices. DVD+RW do not require finalization to be played back on other devices. b Notes • Do not use an 8 cm CD adaptor with an 8 cm DVD as it may cause a malfunction. • Make sure that a vertically installed device is placed in a position such as that the disc can be placed horizontally. • Some discs cannot be played back, may freeze for an instant between scenes. Some functions may be disabled on some devices. z Tips • Devices that support subtitles can display the recording date and time where the subtitles normally appear (p. 63). Refer to the instruction manual of your device. • If you have created a DVD menu (p. 45), you can select the desired scene in the menu. Playing a disc on a computer You can play a disc on a computer if a DVD playback application is installed on the computer. Insert the finalized disc into the DVD drive on your computer, and play back the disc using a DVD playback application. b...
