Description
HP StorageWorks Enterprise Fabric Management Suite (EFMS) is the latest addition to software
supporting all H-series Fibre Channel switches. EFMS is a separately licensed, workstation-based
fabric management GUI. Features of EFMS include:
• All capabilities of QuickTools, the GUI embedded in the switches
• Fabric tracker for monitoring firmware versions, and detecting devices that have been moved,
added to, or removed from the fabric
• Port threshold alarm configuration
• Performance view for port performance monitoring
• An extended credits wizard to increase port distance capabilities
• mPort technology for moveable port licenses
• Media diagnostics
• Fibre Channel tracing and connection verification

website www.hp.com/go/EFMS. You can also purchase one of the following permanent licenses to
use (LTU) to enable EFMS (delivered as entitlement certificate or via email):

• AW576A: HP StorageWorks SN6000 Stackable 8Gb 24-port Dual Power Fibre Channel Switch
(24 switch ports active)
• AK241A: HP StorageWorks 8Gb Simple SAN Connection Kit (8 switch ports active)
• AQ233A: HP StorageWorks 8/20q Fibre Channel Switch (8 switch ports active)
• AK242A: HP StorageWorks 8/20q Fibre Channel Switch (16 switch ports active)
NOTE:
Switches must be running firmware 8.0.4.04.00 to be managed by EFMS Version 8.00.4.05.
