Kit Contents
n 256-MB cache upgrade module
n Two battery packs (attached to the cache upgrade module)
n Two foam rubber hexagons (bumpers) - needed only when installing the
cache upgrade module into the MSA 1000 or SA-Cluster Storage
controllers

Many personal computers are capable of providing energy levels that are considered

replaced incorrectly or mistreated. To reduce the risk:
• Do not attempt to recharge the batteries outside the controller.
• Do not expose the batteries to water, or to temperatures above 60 degrees C.
• Do not abuse, disassemble, crush, or puncture the batteries.
• Do not short the external contacts.
• Replace only with the Compaq spare designated for this product.
Comply with local regulations when disposing of the batteries. Alternatively, return
them by established parts return methods to Compaq Computer Corporation for
disposal.
CAUTION: Failure to follow the instructions on this poster when upgrading your cache
could lead to data loss or equipment damage.
EMC NOTICE: The rating label on the device gives the class (A or B) of the equipment. Class B
devices have an FCC logo or ID on the label. Class A devices do not have an FCC logo or ID on
the label. After you determine the class of the device, refer to the user guide of the appropriate
