For best results replace thecartridge every 30 days. Maintenance Cleaning: Your insect killer is equipped with self-cleaning gridsand require no special maintenance other than cleaning insectdebris from the bottom of the unit. This should be done frequently using a small soft brush or blower such as a portable hairdryer, or the exhaust attachment of a vacuum cleaner. Be sure to unplug the unit before cleaning. Do not clean yourinsect killer with a water spray or the like. Bulb Replacement 1. Disconnect unit from electric source. 2. Depress latch and remove plastic bulb retainerat base of unit as shown. 3. Bulb can now be pulled down out of the uppersocket. 4. Insert replacement bulb into upper socket.. 5. Replace plastic bulb retainer and secure latch. Shorted grids. 1 . Examine killing grid for material build-up. See cleaning under C.Intermittent or continuous sparking between grid rods. 2. Transformer defective. 1. Gap between grid rods is too small. 2. Replace by manufacturer required. 1. Unplug unit and adjust grids by bending back into alignment using insulated screwdriver. D.Bulb lights, but no longer attracts insects. 2. Grid clogged with foreign material. 1. Invisible blacklight output reduced due to bulb age. 2. Clean grid using an air blower. 1. Replace bulb.
