manual abstract

Using this system (expansion card and connector box) in combination with specific software, two sets of MIDI INs and MIDI OUTs become available. Since it can also handle SMPTE timecode, synchronization to timecode compatible multi-track tape recorders and VTRs is also possible. * IBM and IBM AT are registered trademark of the International Business Machines Corporation. ■ Inportant Notes [Power Supply] •When making any connections with other devices, always turn off the power to all equipment first; this will help prevent damage or malfunction. [Placement] • Do not subject the unit to temperature extremes (eg. direct sunlight in an enclosed vehicle). Avoid using or storing the unit in dusty or humid areas or areas that are subject to high vibration levels. [Maintenance] •Never use benzine, thinners, alcohol or solvents of any kind, to avoid the risk of discoloration and/or deformation. [Additional Precautions] •Protect the unit from strong impact. •Do not allow objects or liquids of any kind to penetrate the unit. In the event of such an occurrence, discontinue use immediately. Contact qualified service personnel as soon as possible. •Should a malfunction occur (or if you suspect there is a problem) discontinue use immediately. Contact qualified service personnel as soon as possible. iPanel Description »MIDI OUT A/В Sockets Connect the MIDI IN socket of an instrument ( eg., sound module ) to either of these MIDI OUT sockets. However, many of the functions of the S-MPU/AT will be disabled. • Functions expanded with the S-MPU/AT MIDI IN : Use MIDI IN A. No MIDI messages will be received through MIDI IN B. MIDI OUT : The same MIDI messages are transmitted through both the MIDI OUT A and B sockets. SMPTE Timecode : Cannot be used. ■ Functions of the MPU-IPC(-T) FSK Sync : Cannot be used. (The S-MPU/AT does not feature TAPE IN/OUT jacks.) The Metronome Function : Cannot be used. (The S-MPU/AT does not have this function.) ■Interrupt Line and I/O Address •Pre-programmed Settings Interrupt Line: IRQ2 I/O Address Mode Address Read Write Bus 401 0330h Data Data 8 bit 0331 h Status Command Native 0332h Immediate Message/Function Immediate Message/Function 16 bit 0334h Sequence Message/Function Sequence Message/Function 0336h Monitor Interrupt to Super MPU 0338h Status Interrupt Mask •To change the Interrupt Line and I/O Address To change the Interrupt Line or I/O Address, be sure to switch the computer off.
