manual abstract

These functions and parameters are marked by an [880] symbol. If MIDI messages marked by an [880] symbol are transmitted to another GS format sound module oder to the SC-88/88Pro, these messages will not be recognized. In addition, functions and messages which were added to the SC-88 (and not found on previous GS format sound modules) are marked by an {88] symbol, and functions and parameters which were added to the SC-88Pro (and not found on the SC-88) are marked by a [Pro] symbol. The SC-880 receives the lower byte of the Bank Select message (control number 32) to switch the Tone Set When the lower byte of the Bank Select message is 00H, the Tone Set specified in Tone mode will be selected. A lower byte of 01H will select Tone Set 1, 02H will select Tone Set 2, and 03H will select Tone Set 3. 4 Some other GS devices do not recognize the Bank Select LSB (Controller number 32). The SC-880 receives the upper byte of the Bank Select message and the Program Change to select Patches oder Performances. Section 1.
