Therefore, discs may contain Parental Control information that applies to the complete disc or to certain scenes on the disc. These scenes are rated from 1 to 8, and alternatively, more suitable scenes are available for selection on some discs. Ratings are country-dependent. The Parental Control feature allows you to prevent discs from being played by your children or to have certain discs played with alternative scenes. The indicator will light and the DVD+VCR will power on automatically. • Make sure that the TIMER indicator on the front panel display is not lit. If it is, press POWER once. • If a tape without a record safety tab is inserted, the unit will start playback automatically. 2 22 Press PLAY (N NN) once. PLAY appears on the TV screen. • It is not necessary to select the tape speed for playback. It will be set automatically by the DVD+VCR. • During playback, the TV/VCR selector switches to VCR mode automatically. 3 33 Press STOP (x xx) to stop playback. STOP appears on the TV screen. • If the tape reaches the end before STOP (x) is pressed, the DVD+VCR will automatically stop, rewind, eject, and turn itself off.
