In direct sunlight 2. Adjacent to a heat source (oven or radiator) 3. Below a hob unit 4. Where a continuous plinth is to be used, it is necessary cut a section out so that the ventilation slots at the front of the appliance are not obstructed in any way fig 6. IMPORTANT: Failure to follow the instructions regarding installation and ventilation may invalidate the warranty supplied with your appliance. To install the handle IMPORTANT: Do not overtighten the screws, and do not use power tools to install the handle. 1. Carefully remove the door seal approximately 10 cm down from the top of the wine cooler door. 2. Insert the screw from the inside of the door frame and screw it in to the handle. 3. Replace the door seal. Repeat steps 1 to 3 approximately 10 cm up from the bottom of the door for the lower handle fixing fig. 6 Installation This appliance is designed to fit under worktops between 820 – 890mm in height, using one of two plinth plates to ensure that the feet are concealed from view. Installation under a kitchen worktop between 820-850 mm in height Install the wine cooler as described on page 9. Extend the adjustable feet to bring the wine cooler up to the required height. Then extend the plinth section up to a maximum of 101mm, and tighten the two screws on the front of the plinth section. Installation under a kitchen worktop between 850-888 mm in height Remove the two screws on the front of the plinth section and then remove the plinth section and replace with the alternative plinth section supplied. Remove the two front adjustable feet and replace with the alternative feet supplied. Install the wine cooler as described on page 9. Extend the adjustable feet to bring the wine cooler up to the required height. Then extend the plinth section up to a maximum of 141mm, and tighten the two screws on the front of the plinth section. fig. 7 fig. 8 fig. 9 fig. 10 Reversing the door It is possible to reverse the door on this appliance, if required. To do so, follow the steps below: 1. Open the door and remove the screws (1) securing the bottom hinge to the appliance(6). Support the door to prevent it from falling. 2. Gently pull down the door (5) to remove it from the top hinge and place on a padded surface to avoid the risk of damage. 3. Separate the hinge pin (3) from the lower hinge (2) and refit on the alternative lower hinge with the pin at the left side. 4. Remove the upper hinge (4). 5. Pop out the cover caps on the left side and use them to cover the screw holes on the right hand side. 6. Fit the alternative top hinge (7), included in the fittings, on the left hand side. 7. Rotate the door 180. and relocate it on the top hinge. 8. Introduce the alternative lowerhinge into the door and secure it to the appliance body using the screws removed in step 1. Please note: Keep the spare hinge plate(s) to be able to reverse the door back again. 1- Screws 2- Lower hinge 3- Hinge pin 4- Right upper hinge 5- Door 6- Cabinet 7- Left upper hinge 11 Electrical information Warning! This appliance must be earthed. The mains lead of this appliance has been fitted with a BS 1363A 13 amp fused plug. To change a fuse in this type of plug, follow the steps below: 1. Remove the fuse cover and fuse. 2. Fit replacement 13A fuse, ASTA approved to BS 1362 type, into the fuse cover. 3. Replace fuse cover. Important: Do not use the appliance without the fuse cover in position. How to connect an alternative plug If the fitted plug is not suitable for your socket outlet, then it should be cut off and disposed of safely to avoid possible shock hazard. A suitable alternative plug of at least 13 Amp rating to BS 1363 should be used. As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: • The wire which is coloured GREEN and YELLOW must be connected to the terminal which is marked with letter (E) or by the Earth symbol or coloured GREEN and YELLOW. • The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter (N), or coloured BLACK. • The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter (L) or coloured RED. If in doubt regarding the electrical connection of this appliance, consult a qualified electrician. Do not shorten the supply cable, the appliance may require removing for servicing. N.B.
