- Do not use the heater to dry your laundry. Never obstruct the intake and outlet grilles (danger of overheating). - The appliance must be installed so that the switches and other controls cannot be reached from a person standing in a bathtub or a shower. - The electrical feed cord must be replaced only by officially authorised personnel. ELECTRIC POWER CONNECTION The fan heater must be connected to a properly polarized A/C 110/120 V household outlet in perfect working condition. Keep loose clothing or bedding, furniture and flammable material away from the wall outlet where the heater is plugged in. INSTALLATION The fan heater can be easily positioned on any horizontal support surface in an upright position. FAN HEATER CONTROLS:The thermostat will adjust the set temperature automatically and keep it constant. thermostat dial ventilation only Fig. 1 These two LEDs indicate the selected power level As the appliance cycles between the different power levels when it is in use, these two LEDs indicate the level currently in use ON/OFF button OPERATION AND USE By pressing the “ON/OFF” button (Fig. 1) one or more times (a beep will confirm each selection), the appliance will select the operating heating power, as follow: P max (maximum power) P med (medium power) P min (minimum power) Fan only (summer operation) off If “P max” maximum appliance operating power has been selected, adjust the thermostat dial (Fig. 1) to the desired comfort temperature, from 42°F and 95°F (5°C and 35°C). °C °F 5 41 10 50 15 59 20 68 25 77 30 86 35 95 room temperature If the selected temperature is higher than the actual room temperature, the appliance will start automatically and rapidly heating the room until it reaches the selected temperature. The unit will automatically mantain the temperature at a constant level, by cycling between “max” (fig. 2), “med” and “min”, as it approaches the selected comfort temperature. If the room temperature exceeds the selected temperature level, the appliance will turn itself off. 6 The appliance will turn on automatically again when the room temperature falls below the selected temperature level. If a power level below “P max” has been selected using the “ON/OFF” button, the appliance will modulate between the selected level and the lower power levels. ANTIFREEZE FUNCTION Press the “ON/OFF” button to select the “P max” power level. Set the thermostat dial to the “*” position (Fig. 1). When set in this way, the appliance will turn on automatically only if the room temperature falls below 42°F (5°C), to prevent it from freezing at minimum energy consumption. This function is not guaranteed in the event of black outs, even if lasting just a few seconds. MODELS WITH ROTATING BODY This appliance is fitted with a motorized base and a rotating body. To distribute the air flow over a larger area, push the foot switch (Fig. 3). When activated, the appliance will oscillate from right to left over an angle. To stop the appliance in the desired position, simply push the foot switch again (a beep will confirm the selection) MODELS WITH REMOTE CONTROL Some models are equipped with a remote control to provide ease of operation. The appliance can be completely controlled with the remote control. Two AAA 1,5V batteries are required (not included): • remove the cover located on the back side of the remote control; • insert the two AAA 1,5V batteires positioning them correctly (see the instructions in the batteries compartment); • replace the cover. Each further pression of the “power selection” push button, the power will change from MAX to MED/MIN/MAX. -If you desire to operate with the fan only, press the “Fan Only” pushbutton. -Only when a function is selected it is possible to activate the rotation of the appliance, by pushing the “ON/OFF oscillating base” push button. -The “Off” push button switches off the appliance. Every time you press a button, the appliance will confirm the selection with a “beep” and the pilot light on the remote control will illuminate. IMPORTANT In the event of a blackout , the appliance settings will be reset. To turn the appliance back on, repeat the procedure described above. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE Always remove the plug from the power outlet and allow the heater to cool. After the heater has cooled, clean it with a soft damp cloth, do not use detergents or abrasives. Periodically clean the air intake and outlet grilles during the period in which the heater is in use with a vacuum cleaner.
