Set sag (A): ..See the attached air chart for starting pressure. Use a high-pressure shock pump to add air. ..Push the rubber o-ring up to the seal, sit on the bike gently, dismount gently and measure the distance between the shock seal and the o-ring (sag). ..Adjust air pressure until desired sag is reached. (This can be verified following the steps on p.6 or the measurements below the air chart). Air pressures may vary depending on rider style and/or terrain. 2. Adjust rebound (B): The red knob (see figure below) controls the rebound damping, the rate which the shock returns after the shock has been compressed. ..Turn the knob clockwise for slower rebound (slower speeds, bigger hits). ..Turn the knob counter-clockwise for faster rebound (higher speeds, small bumps). 3. Adjust compression (C): Specialized Enduro shocks are equipped with a spike valve to optimize the shock’s compression. Low-speed compression (induced by rider’s body weight - pitching, diving) is adjustable by turning the blue lever (see figure below). The lever is adjustable from 1 (Soft) to 4 (Firm). ..Turn the lever clockwise for a firmer ride. The 4 setting can be seen from the top of the lever, and F (Firm) is visible on the lever. ..Turn the lever counter-clockwise for a more supple ride, more traction. The 1 setting can be seen from the top of the lever, and S (Soft) is visible on the lever. NOTE: The spike valve system is a pre-set high-speed compression oil flow device configured to release a large volume of oil to prevent shock spiking at higher frequencies (terrain induced impacts). Use a high-pressure shock pump lbs (kg) USA FRADEUESP ITANLDPRTJPN Rider Weight Air (PSI) 170-180 (77-82) 160-175 to adjust air. • Turn the Brain Fade knob (below) at least one full turn counter-clockwise to allow the shock to sag more easily, and set the rebound to full fast (counter-clockwise). • Push the rubber o-ring up to the seal, sit on the bike gently, dismount gently and measure the distance between the shock seal and the o-ring (sag). • Adjust air pressure until desired sag is reached (This can be verified following the 90-100 (41-45) 100-110 (45-50) 110-120 (50-54) 120-130 (54-60) 130-140 (60-64) 140-150 (64-68) 150-160 (68-73) 160-170 (73-77) 75-80 80-90 90-100 100-110 110-120 120-130 130-145 145-160 or the measurements below p.6 . steps onthe air chart). Air pressures and sag settings may vary depending on rider style and/or terrain. 2. Adjust rebound: The red knob controls the rebound damping, the rate which the shock returns after the shock has been compressed. • Turn the knob clockwise for slower rebound (slower speeds, bigger hits). • Turn the knob counter-clockwise for faster rebound (higher speeds, small bumps, more traction. Higher air pressures and higher impacts require more rebound damping (clockwise). 3. Tune Brain Fade inertia valve: Brain Fade is an inertia valve system offering a range of pedal platform efficiency. The blue knob controls the Trail Tune inertia valve damping. • Turn the knob clockwise for a firmer ride. • Turn the knob counter-clockwise for a softer, more supple Trail Tune setting. 180-190 190-200 200-210 210-220 220-230 230-240 240-250 250-265 265-280 280-295 (82-86) (86-91) (91-95) (95-100) (100-104) (104-109) (109-113) (113-120) (120-127) (127-134) 175-190 190-205 205-220 220-235 235-250 250-265 265-280 280-295 295-310 310-325 Eye-to-eye length: 185 mm Shock stroke: 44.5 mm Recommended sag: 22-28% (1012.5mm) Travel: 120mm 9 MANUEL DE PROPRIETAIRE DE L’AMORTISSEUR ARRIERE ENDURO SL - EPIC - ERA - SAFIRE - STUMPJUMPER SPECIALIZED BICYCLE COMPONENTS 15130 Concord Circle, Morgan Hill, CA 95037 (408) 779-6229 TABLE OF CONTENTS TABLE OF CONTENTS INTRODUCTION........................................................12 ENTRETIEN ET MODIFICATION.................................................12 TERMINOLOGIE ........................................................12 ENTRETIEN................................................................13 GARANTIE .................................................................13 POMPE A AMORTISSEUR ........................................14 FAIRE UN SAG...........................................................14 AMORTISSEUR DU EPIC/ERA.................................1...
