Accessories Depending on the model, the hob may include the following accessories. These can also be acquired from the Technical Assistance Service. Once the hotplate is switched off, the residual heat indicator remains on indicating that the hotplate temperature is too high. Do not touch the hotplate while the indicator light is on. After a while the residual heat indicator will go off, indicating that the temperature of the hotplate has dropped and is no longer too high. Care must then be taken when touching the appliance to avoid burns, since the hotplate may not have completely cooled down. Protection against overheating The hob has an overheating protection system to protect the electronics. This system switches off all the burners in case of overheating, with the operating indicators of all the burners and main switch starting to flash. Turn all control knobs to setting 0. Wait until the appliance has cooled down sufficiently and the main switch operating indicator has turned off. Now you can reconnect the appliance normally. The rapid flickering of the burner operating indicators switches off or is replaced by the residual heat indicator. Childproof lock Activating the childproof lock: 1.
