The lock is now deactivated. Childproof lock With this function, the childproof lock automatically activates when a hob is switched off. Activating and deactivating All of the relevant information on the automatic childproof lock connection can be found in the Basic settings chapter. Keep warm function This function is used for melting chocolate or butter and for keeping food warm. To activate 1. Select the required hotplate. 2. Within the next 5 seconds, press the – symbol. The – indicator lights up. The "keep warm" function has been turned on. To deactivate 1. Select the required hotplate. 2. Press the – symbol. The – display turns off. After 5 seconds, the hotplate turns off and the residual heat indicator appears. Powerboost function The Powerboost function can be used to heat large amounts of water more quickly than the power level S. Usage restrictions This function is always available for all hotplates, provided the other hotplate in the same group is not in use (see illustration). Change the cooking time using the + or -symbols, or set to ‹‹. Once the time has elapsed The hotplate switches off. A warning signal sounds. ‹ appears on the hotplate and ‹‹ appears for 10 seconds on the time program function display. The xindicator flashes. Pressing the 3 symbol turns off the indicators and stops the beep. Notes ¦ If cooking times have been programmed for various zones, the time program function displays the shortest cooking time. Select a hotplate to check the remaining cooking time. ¦ Any cooking time can be programmed for up to 99 minutes. The timer The timer can be set for periods of up to 99 minutes. It is independent of the other settings. This function does not automatically switch off a hotplate. How to program 1.
