The control discs are removable. Thus, they can be easily cleaned. The control discs can also be removed from the hob while it is working. All the hotplates switch off after 3 seconds. Always place the control disc in its compartment with the shiny black side downwards. Storing the control discs The control discs are magnetic. Do not bring the control discs close to magnetic data mediums such as video cassettes, disks, credit cards and other cards with a magnetic strip. They could be damaged. Selecting the power level: The hob must be switched on. Turn the control disc of the required hotplate until the desired power level is shown on its display. The hotplate is on. To change the power level: Select a new power level using the control disc. To turn off the hotplate: Turn the control disc until ‹ is displayed. The hotplate turns off and the residual heat indicator appears. Note: If no pan has been placed on the induction hotplate, the selected power level flashes. After a certain time, the hotplate switches off. Remove purees, creams and thick sauces from time to time, if they get too hot. Use power level 9 to begin cooking.
