Risk of burning! Never touch hot hotplates. Keep small children away from the hob. Risk of fire! Never place combustible objects on the hob. Risk of fire! Do not store any combustible objects or spray cans in drawers directly underneath the hob. Risk of short circuit! Do not place any connecting cables on the hot hotplates. The cable insulation on electrical appliances could melt. Risk of injury! Steam pressure can occur due to liquid between the pan base and hotplate. This may cause the pan to suddenly jump upwards. Always keep the hotplate and pan base dry. Risk of electric shock! Switch off the circuit breaker in the fuse box if the hob has fractures, flaws or cracks. Call the aftersales service. Risk of electric shock! Incorrect repairs are dangerous. Repairs may only be carried out by one of our trained aftersales engineers. If the appliance is defective, pull out the mains plug or switch off the appliance at the circuit breaker in the fuse box. Call the aftersales service. Causes of damage Caution! Never place hot pots and pans on the control panel or surround. This could cause damage. Caution! Unsuitable cleaning agents and tools could damage the appliance. Please see the notes in section: Cleaning and care Caution! Monitor pressure cookers during preheating. Turn down the heat as soon as the correct cooking pressure has been reached. Environmentally-friendly disposal Dispose of packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner. This appliance is labelled in accordance with European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment WEEE. The directive gives a framework for the collection and recycling of old appliances, which is valid across the EU. Your new appliance Press the retractable operating knob to pop it in or out. Operating light Control knobs for hotplates Switching the hob on and off Hob Your hob comes with its own instructions for use. Read all the notes on safety before using the hob. The . symbol indicates which operating knob belongs to which hotplate (in the example: front left) 1. To heat up, turn the operating knob clockwise to setting 9. 2. Once the hotplate has heated up, turn the operating knob to the desired setting. 3. To switch off the hotplate, turn the operating knob back to setting U. The operating knobs can be adjusted infinitely. Dual cooking zones On glass ceramic hobs, you can switch on heating areas for large cookware. 1. Turn the operating knob clockwise past setting 9 to setting o. 2. Once the hotplate has heated up, turn the operating knob to the desired setting as with normal hotplates. 3. To switch off the dual-circuit cooking zone, turn the operating knob back to setting U. Note: With autofocus hotplates, the dual cooking zones switch on automatically.
