The red ON Light comes on when the waffle baker is first plugged in. This light will stay on until the unit is unplugged. The green PREHEAT Light comes on when the waffle baker has preheated. For best results, wait until the green PREHEAT Light comes on before adding the waffle batter. This means the waffle baker has reached the perfect temperature. This light will cycle on and off during baking. 4. Waffles are done in about 5 minutes, depending on recipe, or when steaming stops. Remove waffle with plastic or wooden utensil. Never use metal. This will damage the nonstick coating. 5. Unplug unit when through cooking. Let cool. Waffle Baker Tips • Most waffle recipes can be poured directly onto the nonstick waffle grids. Use a cooking spray for dessert waffles or any recipe with a lot of sugar. If your waffles start to stick, the grids may need to be scrubbed with a nylon brush to remove any cooked-on food particles. • Waffles can be made ahead of time and kept warm in a 200.F oven.
