Fixes
The following issues have been resolved in XCS 6.200:
• Addressed an instance of a controller reset when an adapter was added to the host definition
table.
• The time is now synchronized between a replacement controller and the existing controller.
• Modified a management command to avoid a hang condition.
• After replacing the I/O module, the I/O module hardware type is now accurately reflected.
• Duplicate host port handles no longer occur.
• Adjusted the data replication routine to return I/O status more quickly to the host for asynchronous
data replication.
• Decreased Fibre Channel traffic related to HP Continuous Access EVA remote node discovery.
• In HP Continuous Access EVA configurations, transitioning a virtual disk between controllers does
not cause a controller termination.
• The slow boot from SAN issue for direct connect configurations is resolved.
• In HP Continuous Access EVA configurations, ghost WWNs no longer appear. However, existing
ghost WWNs are not removed.
• Addressed an infrequent controller termination issue which may occur due to HP Continuous Access
EVA remote node discovery.
• Increased the reliability of host port connectivity with Fibre Channel switches.
• Resolved some issues which affected the correct occupancy of the DR group log being displayed
• In an HP Continuous Access EVA environment, a controller termination no longer occurs when the
write log file has reached its maximum configurable capacity.
• When replicating between an array running XCS 6.1xx and an array running XCS 6.0xx or
earlier or VCS 4.xxx or earlier, inactive data replication tunnels are no longer closed. (Previously,
inactive tunnels were closed and then, depending on the controller software version on the target
array, re-opened and repeated notifications of these tunnel closures were received.)
• For HP-UX 11.31 hosts using the Asymmetric LUN Access functionality (AULA), the Report and Set
Target Group commands are now handled properly to prevent hosts from losing access to all LUN
paths.
• Removing the environmental monitoring unit (EMU) from a disk enclosure does not cause an unre-
sponsive condition with HP Command View EVA.
• The controller will not hang when the snapshot of a non-fractured mirrorclone is deleted.
• Modified the controller firmware to ensure that all host writes posted in the HP Continuous Access
EVA write history log are included during the fast resynchronization of virtual disks in a DR group.
• An inoperative drive is now prevented from rejoining the storage system.
• Modified the controller firmware to ensure that, when issuing the HP Command View EVAPerf as
and hps commands, the command output now displays the array or host port status correctly.
Also, the host port world wide names are displayed correctly in all commands.
• Fixed an issue with high intensity, sequential read workloads on the EVA4000/4100/6000/6100
that could potentially affect read cache performance.
