manual abstract

Remove contents of stuff sack and lay tent body flat on ground. 2. Assemble the four poles. One orange hubbed pole, two orange straight poles and one black vestibule pole. 3. Orient the hubbed pole so the shorter, middle section runs across the width of the tent body, aligning the pole with the seams and clips on the tent. 4. You will notice one side of each hub has a piece that will fit into the plastic clip on the tent body. Make sure that side of the hub is facing down. 5. Insert the four ends of the hubbed pole into the grommets in the red webbing straps at the four corners of the tent. 6. Attach the clips on the tent body to the hub pole frame that is now standing. Two clips are “u” shaped and slide over the bottom of the hubs. The hook shaped clips fit over the pole. 7. Take one of the orange poles and insert the ends into the grommets on the black webbing straps located at the floor seam towards the back door of the tent (tent body is symmetrical and you determine the front and back. The larger vestibule on the fly will be the front and the smaller vestibule will be the back. (Step 12). 8. The pole from Step 7 will angle from back to front to back, wrapping around the front of the tent, above the front door and back to the black webbing on the opposite side if the tent (the pole aligns with the seam lines and clips on the tent body). Attach the hook shaped clips on the tent body to this pole – but do not yet attach the carabiner-style clips. 9. Repeat Steps 7 and 8 with the remaining orange pole, inserting pole into grommets on remaining black webbing straps towards front door of tent body. 10. This pole will angle towards and wrap around the back of the tent, above the back door (the pole aligns with the seam lines and clips on the tent body). Attach the hook shaped clips on the tent body to this pole. 11. Now, attach the carabiner-style clips over both poles where they intersect. 12. Drape the rain fly over the tent – the door with the vertical zipper will be the back door. Match red webbing on the fly and corners of the tent body together. 13. There are four webbing straps with buckles on each side of the tent. Clip the rear three buckles on fly and tent body together on each side of tent (one red, two black). Leave the front buckles with red webbing unclipped until the vestibule pole is inserted in front vestibule. 14. Feed the black pole through the sleeve above the vestibule door on the underside of the fly. Then, attach the Velcro loops on the underside of the fly to the pole. 15. Insert the ends of the vestibule pole into the remaining grommets in the red webbing straps at the front corners of the tent. 16. Clip the remaining buckles on the fly and tent body together. 17. Stake out all corners and guy lines for maximum stability, space and ventilation. FAST FLY SET UP INSTRUCTIONS If you purchase the optional Big Agnes footprint for any of our models, it will enable you to pitch a Fast Fly shelter while leaving the tent body behind. The Fast Fly configuration requires the footprint, tent fly, poles and stakes. 1. Lay footprint out flat and stake out. 2. Assemble the four poles: One orange hubbed pole, two orange straight poles and one black vestibule pole. 3. Insert the four ends of the hubbed pole into the grommets in the red webbing straps. Orient the hubbed pole so the shorter, middle section is parallel to the side of the footprint that does not have the black webbing straps. 4. Insert one end of the straight orange pole into the grommet on the black webbing on the side of the foot print and the other end into the grommet on the black webbing on the opposite side of the footprint, directly across from where you started. The pole will wrap around the two hubs. 5. Repeat Step 3 with the remaining orange pole and insert the ends into the grommets on the remaining black webbing straps. 6. Drape the rain fly over the poles that are standing, matching the red webbing on fly with red webbing on footprint. The door with the straight, vertical zipper is the smaller, back door. 7. On the underside of the fly are several Velcro loops – these correspond with the points where poles intersect. Wrap the Velcro loops around all intersection points. 8. There are four webbing straps with buckles on each side of the footprint. Clip the rear three buckles on fly and footprint together on each side of tent (one red, two black). Leave the front buckles with red webbing unclipped until the vestibule pole is inserted in front vestibule. 9. Feed the black pole through the sleeve above the vestibule door on the underside of the fly. Then, attach the Velcro loops on the underside of the fly to the pole. 10. Insert the ends of the vestibule pole into the remaining grommets on the red webbing straps at the front corners of the footprint. 11. Clip the remaining buckles on the fly and footprint together. 12. Stake out all corners and guy lines for maximum stability and space. Separate 6", large diameter pole segment in...
