manual abstract

To warm the other side, turn over the rolls, buns or croissants, using an oven glove or bread tongs if necessary (gloves and bread tongs not supplied), on the heat-diffusing top while it is still hot Fig. 9 . Leave for 1 or 2 minutes or start the toaster again, as required. The heat-diffusing top becomes very hot. Avoid touching it. LOOKING AFTER AND CLEANING YOUR TOASTER Clean your toaster regularly. After use and before cleaning, maintenance or putting it away, disconnect the appliance and allow it to cool. To clean the crumb collector drawer: pull out the drawer and empty the crumbs. This should be done regularly, ideally after each use (toasting or heating) Fig. 10 . After each use, check that the drawer is correctly inserted and pushed home. If crusts, crumbs or other debris remain trapped in the toaster or between the heating elements, turn it upside down to allow the crumbs to fall out of the top. Never insert a metal object in the toaster; this can cause serious damage. Wipe over the outside of the toaster and the supply cable with a damp cloth. Dry Fig. 1 . To care for your toaster, never use aggressive products (soda based oven cleaner, metal cleaner, bleach etc.) or metal utensils, scourers or abrasive pads. Do not use metal (stainless steel, copper etc.) cleaners on the heat- diffusing top. Use a soft cloth or a damp sponge with washing up liquid and then dry. Do not wash the crumb collector drawer in the dishwasher. STORAGE Wait until the toaster has cooled completely before putting it away, otherwise considerable damage can be caused, especially in confined spaces. To tidy away the mains cord, wind it around the cord storage in the bottom of the toaster Fig. 11 . The packaging is recyclable but can be useful to transport the toaster or return it to an approved service centre (see list attached). * According to model TO PREVENT ANY ACCIDENTS • This toaster complies with the safety rules and conditions in effect, and with the directives in force. • Check that the electricity supply voltage corresponds to the voltage indicated on the appliance (ac current only). • Given the many standards in effect, if this toaster is used in a country other than the country where it was purchased, have it checked by an approved service centre (see enclosed after sales service information). • Check that the electricity installation is sufficient to supply the power required by this appliance. • Always plug the toaster into an earthed socket. • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of worktop or come in contact with hot surfaces.
