DO NOT disassemble, modify, orattempt to repair the rechargeablebattery. DO NOT dispose of the rechargeable battery in fire or intentionally overheat. This could cause the internal insulation to melt, gas to be emitted, or safetymechanisms to fail. Additionally, theelectrolyte solution could catch fire. DO NOT puncture the rechargeablebattery with any objects, subject it tosevere shocks or throw it. Damage to the rechargeable battery's protection circuitcould cause the rechargeable battery tobe recharged at an abnormal current/ voltage or cause an abnormal chemicalreaction within the rechargeable battery. Safety Precautions 1234567895 INTRODUCTION WARNING P-touch Labeler Follow these guidelines to avoid fire, electric shock, the risk of injury to yourself or others, and/or damage to the printer or other property. DO NOT allow the printer to get wet or use the printer in areas that may become wet, such as bathrooms or near sinks. DO NOT touch any metal parts near theprint head. The print head becomes veryhot during use and remains very hotimmediately after use. Do not touch itdirectly with your hands. DO NOT disassemble the P-touch labeler. For inspection, adjustment, and repair ofthe labeler, contact the retail outlet where the P-touch labeler was purchased or yourlocal authorized service center. Plastic bags are used in the packaging of your labeler. To avoid danger of suffocation, keep these bags away frombabies and children. If you notice heat, an abnormal odor, discoloration of the printer, deformation, oranything else unusual while using orstoring the printer, immediately discontinue use of the printer, disconnect the AC adapter, and remove the batteries. To prevent damage, do not drop or hit the P-touch labeler. DO NOT use the P-touch labeler with a foreign object in it. If water, a metallic substance, or any other foreign object enters the P-touch labeler, disconnect the AC adapter and remove batteries, and contact the retail outlet where the P-touch labeler was purchased or your local authorized service center.
