Press MENU, and then press x or • until the PICTURE menu appears. 2. Press y or z to highlight RESET, and then press •. The screen displays the word “RESET.” MOVE [ ][ ] CONTRAST 50 BRIGHTNESS 50 SHARPNESS 50 COLOR 50 TINT 0 SVM: [ON] OFF RESET PICTUREADJUST Using the SBS (sub bass system) feature The sub-bass system enhances bass performance, even when the volume is low. To turn on the SBS feature and adjust the SBS level: 1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the AUDIO menu appears. 2. Press y or z to highlight SBS. 3. Press x or • to highlight ON. 4. Press y or z to highlight SBS LEVEL. 5. Press • to increase the SBS level. Press x to decrease the SBS level. Note: The RESET function also returns your picture adjustments to their factory settings. See “Resetting your picture adjustments” on page 27. yzx • MENU Note: • Adjusting the SBS level will not affect the VARIABLE AUDIO output (page 39). • If the SBS level is adjusted when the SBS feature is OFF, the SBS feature is automatically turned ON. (See “Connecting an audio system” on page 12.) To turn off the built-in speakers: 1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the AUDIO menu appears. 2. Press y or z to highlight SPEAKERS. 3. Selecting fixed/variable AUDIO OUT If you connect external audio equipment (such as a stereo audio amplifier or surround sound system) to the TV’s AUDIO OUT terminal, you can use the AUDIO OUT feature to select either fixed or variable audio output. –If you set AUDIO OUT to FIXED, you must use the volume controls on the audio equipment to adjust the sound level coming through the audio equipment (the TV’s volume setting will have no effect). –If you set AUDIO OUT to VARIABLE, you can use the volume controls on either the TV or the audio equipment to adjust the sound level coming through the audio equipment.
