AUD O I MTS STEREO // SAP MONO BASS 50 TREBLE 50 BALANCE 0 RESET You can leave your TV in STEREO mode because it automatically outputs the type of sound being broadcast (stereo or monaural). If the stereo sound is noisy, select MONO to reduce the noise. The word STEREO or SAP displays in yellow in the menu when the TV receives the signal. To listen to SAP (if available): 1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the AUDIO menu appears. 2. Press y or z to highlight MTS. 3. Press x or • to highlight SAP. You will hear the station’s second audio program (if available) from the speakers while viewing the original program’s picture (see note at right). RECALL MUTE MENU yzx • Note : A second audio program (SAP) can be heard only on those TV stations that offer it. For example, some TV stations broadcast music as a second audio program. If you have SAP on, you will see the current program on the screen but hear music instead of the program’s normal audio. If you have SAP on, and the station you are watching is not currently broadcasting a second audio program, you will see the picture but not hear any sound.
