When the cycle has been completed, clean tumble dryer drum with a damp cloth and then with a dry cloth in order to remove any remaining starch. What is fluff? When you begin to use your tumble dryer, you will be surprised at the amount of fluff that accumulates in the fluff filter. This is perfectly normal and does not mean that the tumble dryer is damaging the laundry being dried. When the tumble dryer is being used, as well as when items are washed by hand or in a washing machine, fibres and fluff are released by any laundry item and adhere to its surface. This also happens when fabrics are hung out to dry in outdoor environments. In a tumble dryer fibres and fluff accumulate in the fluff filter and increase in volume because of the heat inside the appliance. Time and energy consumption Energy consumption and drying times vary according to the quantity, residual dampness after spinning, size and nature of the fabrics being dried and the degree of dryness. If the appliance is overloaded, mediocre drying results will be obtained and the laundry will be creased. In order to reduce energy consumption and drying times, it is necessary to spin the laundry adequately. The use is recommended of a washing machine capable of spinning laundry at a speed of 800 rpm or more. Garments which are not ironed, such as shirts, must also be spun for 10 - 30 seconds before they are dried in the tumble dryer. Shrinking Some items (such as shirts and the like) may easily shrink to a greater or lesser extent. This is due to the fact that these items are ‘suspended’ inside the tumble dryer, as opposed to being hung on a washing line to dry, which is usually the case. Do not over-dry these items. Select ‘iron dry’ drying time for these items. How much does dry laundry weigh? Please use the following values to load the appliance correctly.
