HEAT GUNS ARE DOUBLE INSULATED. Before starting work, please take a few minutes to carefully read all instructions. Pay close attention to safety guidelines and warnings included for your protection. Save these instructions for future use. WARNING * Never use the heat gun as a hair dryer! * For safe operation, read manual thoroughly. * Never use the heat gun near flammable materials or gases. * Use ANSI approved safety glasses when using this heat gun. * Always have a fire extinguisher on hand. * Never leave heat gun running unattended. * Never lay the heat gun down on flammable objects. * Paint fumes can be poisonous. Avoid stripping paint near food, drinks or eating areas. * Always wear an approved respirator. * Wash your hands and face thoroughly before eating or smoking. Wash clothes and bathe before handling small children. * Clean work area with wet cloths and mop until all dust is removed. Do not use vacuums, dust mops or brooms. * Do not use in an area with high amounts of dust in the air. * To reduce risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose to rain or moisture. Store indoors. * Nozzle gets extremely hot when running the gun. Wear gloves for hand protection. Do not touch the nozzle while running or shortly after running the gun. * High temperatures may cause damage to most materials. Test before using heat gun on temperature sensitive material. WARNING * When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. * Never direct the hot airflow toward people or animals. * Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewelry. Wear nonskid footwear and a protective hair covering to contain long hair. * Maintain proper balance and footing at all times. * Keep the gun handle dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. * Always allow the heat gun to cool down completely before storing it. * Always store the gun in a safe place, out of the reach of children. It is not a toy. * Know the work environment. Areas behind ceilings, floors and soffits may contain highly flammable materials. Always check these areas before applying heat. * Keep work area clean, uncluttered and well lighted. * Never hold the nozzle closer than 3" from the workpiece. * When removing paint, move the workpiece outdoors or ventilate the area and use a fan to help keep the work area free of fumes and dust. * Keep children and visitors away from work area, the tool, and extension cords. * Guard against electric shock by preventing contact with grounded surfaces (for example: pipes, radiators, ranges, refrigerator enclosures). * Never carry gun by its power cord or pull the cord from an electrical outlet. * Use only properly rated extension cords. * Inspect extension cords periodically and replace if damaged. * When tool is outdoors, use only extension cords rated for outdoor use. * When working on small or irregularly shaped objects, secure work in a vise or clamp. * Disconnect the tool when not in use.
