5. Quick Search Press the Fast. Fwd / Rewind button in the Programme Guide screen to display the banner with Day and Time options. This option allows the user to skip to the Programme list of some other day or time without having to scroll sequentially e.g to jump from Monday to Thursday without having to scroll through Tuesday’s & Wednesday’s programmes. You can move to your desired scheduled day using the button and desired time using the button. 5. Functions Guide 5.2 Using Favourite Channel The Favourite channel function enables subscribers to select and watch Favourite channels easily by using a single button on the Remote Control, once programmed. Favourite channel configuration procedures are described below. 1. Select the Programmes ( )icon from the icons on top of the Main Menu screen by using the button from the Main Menu. Then select ‘Favourite channels’ from the detailed items displayed on the screen by using the button. 2. Select an number *none* from 900 *none* to 919 *none* in the MY FAVOURITES list in the Favourite Channel configuration screen by using the button. Move to the CHOICES list by using the button. 3. Select your desired channel beside the *none* item using CH-/CH+ ( )button within CHOICES and press the OK ( )button. Then the channel is specified as a Favourite channel and is moved to the Favourite channel list. 4. When you have configured a Favourite Channel, you can watch the channel by pressing the FAV ( )button on the Remote Control or by entering the number channel nember 900 - 919 on the Remote Control. 5. The favourite channels will also appear in the EPG grid, once programmed. 6. While in the favourite channel mode, pressing CH-/CH+ ( user to scroll within the programmed favourite channels. Then all Programmes of that particular type that are scheduled for the day are displayed with the channel number and time. 4. Select your desired Programme and press the OK ( )button. The Set-Top Box automatically tunes your TV to the selected programme. Note: The following types of Programme categories are available. 1. Movies 2. News/Current Affairs 3. Serials/Game Shows 4. Sports 5. Children’s/Youth 6. Music/Ballet/Dance 7. Arts/Culture 8. Social/Political/Economics 9. Education/Science 10. Leisure/Hobbies 11. Special Characteristics 5. Functions Guide 5.4 Using Parental Lock Function This function enables subscribers to control viewing of content for the protection of children and teenagers based on the rating of the broadcaster content. Note: This function does not limit individual programmes but limits channels such as Movies, based on the Programme rating in the original broadcast. To run the parental lock function, complete the following procedures. 1. While turning on the TV, press the MENU ( )button to enter Main Menu. 2. Select ‘Parental Lock’ from the “Personal Settings” ( )icons on the top of the Main Menu. The following screen will appear. Press OK and the following screen will appear. 3. Input PIN code and then specify desired rating from the options displayed using the button, and press OK ( )button. In the illustration above, all content of the rating U and UA will be locked. The symbol indicates that the rating has been selected. Caution: • Once the Parental Lock function is configured, all the Channels higher than the specified grade will be blocked by an interruption screen while watching TV. If you enter the PIN code at this time, then the interruption screen disappears, and you can watch the Channel. Programmes of ratings lower than the specified grade are not affected. Note: • Default PIN code is ‘0000’. You can configure the PIN code by using the ‘Select Key Code’ function in the ‘Personal Settings’ menu. 5. Functions Guide 5.5 Other function of EPG Until now, this manual described frequently used functions in the EPG. Now this section describes other functions provided by the EPG. Note: This is the Main page which lets you access all the features of the Set-Top Box through the 7 icons at the top. Each icon has a sub-menu.
