2. To remove the battery, lift it as shown. 3. Carefully lift the SIM card holder from the finger grip of the phone, and open the flip cover. 4. Insert the SIM card, so that the bevelled corner is on the upper right side and the gold-colored contact is facing downward. Close the SIM card holder and press it to lock it into place. Connect the lead from the charger to the connector on the bottom of your phone. Note:Do not touch this connector as it is sensitive for electrostatic discharge. Charging time depends on the charger and the battery used. If the battery is completely discharged, it may take a few minutes before the charging indicator appears on the display or before any calls can be made. For availability of approved enhancements, please check with your dealer. When you disconnect the power cord of any enhancement, grasp and pull the plug, not the cord. If the phone asks for a PIN or security code, enter the code supplied with your SIM card (displayed as ****), and select OK. Note: As with any other radio transmitting device, do not touch the antenna unnecessarily when the device is switched on. Contact with the antenna affects call quality and may cause the device to operate at a higher power level than otherwise needed. Avoiding contact with the antenna area when operating the device optimizes the antenna performance and the battery life. ¦ Adjust the earpiece volume To increase or decrease the volume during a call, press the right or left scroll key. When adjusting the volume, a bar chart appears in the display indicating the volume level. ¦ Loudspeaker You can use your phone as a loudspeaker during a call.
