READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS A short power cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from entanglement or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable power supply cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power cord or extension cord is used (1) the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and (2) the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally. The electrical rating of the appliance is listed on the bottom of the unit. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounded type 3 wire cord. This appliance has a polarized plug. One blade is wider than the other. To reduce the risk of electrical shock this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way. KNOW YOUR CITRUS JUICER A A) Dust Cover B B) Juicing Cone C) Stainless Steel Strainer C D) Juice Container D E) Power Unit F F) Cord Storage E BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE Carefully unpack your citrus juicer and remove all packaging material. Remove any labels or stickers from the citrus juicer. To remove any dust that may have accumulated during packaging, clean the citrus juicer and its included attachments thoroughly before using for the first time. (See “Cleaning Your Citrus Juicer” section of this manual for detailed instructions). OPERATING YOUR CITRUS JUICER 1) Place the juice container (D) onto the power unit (E). 2) Place the stainless steel strainer (C) inside the juice container, and then add the juicing cone (B). 3) Plug the unit into a 120V/60Hz AC only outlet. 4) Cut the fruit that you will be juicing in half. If it is a larger piece of fruit you may have to cut it smaller. Point the cut fruit downward so you see only the exterior skin of the fruit. With your hand press each half of the fruit down onto the juicing cone and the juicer will operate automatically. 5) During use, the juicing cone may change its rotational direction. This is normal and ensures that the maximum amount of juice is extracted. To further help juice extraction, move the fruit from side to side. 6) To terminate operation, simply release your hand from the fruit or discontinue pressure. 7) To pour the juice, remove the juicing cone and stainless steel strainer from the juice container and pour using the pour spout. OPERATING YOUR CITRUS JUICER (continued) 8) When juicing large quantities empty the stainless steel strainer regularly to prevent the build up of pulp and seeds. 9) Monitor juice level in container to make sure the contents do not overflow. Empty the juice in another container if necessary. The provided juice container can hold 32 fluid ounces or 4 cups of juice. CLEANING YOUR CITRUS JUICER 1) CAUTION: Be sure to switch off and unplug this appliance before cleaning the body and its attachments. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or unit in water or liquid. After each use, always make sure plug is first removed from wall outlet. 2) Power Unit: Wipe with a damp cloth, and then dry thoroughly. 3) Other Parts: Wash by hand in warm soapy water, and then rinse and dry thoroughly. 4) Replace dust cover when not in use.
