manual abstract

• If you place an unsuitable pan on the cooker and switch the appliance on, it beeps every two seconds to indicate that the selected pan is not suitable for induction cookers. 10 OPERATING THE APPLIANCE The appliance has two cooking functions: power function and temperature function. • When power function is selected, the cooker emits the same power constantly. This function is equivalent to a normal cooker. • When the temperature function is selected, an integral thermostat ensures that the temperature in the pan is kept constant. The appliance adjusts power up and down in order to maintain the selected temperature the whole time. Operating the cooker 1. Plug in and switch the power on. A beep sounds, and all indicators light up briefly, after which they switch off. 2. Place the pan on the cooker (1). 3. Switch the appliance on by pressing the “ON/OFF” button (8). The appliance and the power indicator (9) come on, and the fan starts up. The cooker is activated, and the pan heats up. 4. When the appliance is switched on, it is set to power function as standard. The power function indicator (10) lights up, and the power is set to 4 (shown by the temperature indicators (5)). You can select the following settings: • Turn the power up and down (five settings) by pressing the setting buttons (4). • Switch to temperature function (see above) by pressing the “Function” button (7), so the temperature function indicator (6) lights up. Then set the required temperature (can be set from 70 to 220 °C) by pressing the setting buttons. 5. Switch the appliance off after cooking has finished by pressing the “ON/OFF” button. • The appliance switches off automatically after 2 hours’ use. Operating the timer 1. Press the “Timer” button (3), until the timer indicator (2) displays the required setting. 2. The timer starts after a brief interval. 3. When the time has passed, the timer beeps and the appliance switches off. • If you want to cancel the timer early, press the “Timer” button until the timer indicators switch off. After use 1. Check that the appliance is switched off. 2. Remove the plug from the socket. A short beep sounds when the power to the appliance is switched off. Safety functions The appliance is equipped with safety functions that automatically switch the appliance off in the event of overheating or excess voltage. If the appliance switches off automatically, unplug it and wait until it has cooled down completely. Then plug it in again. It should now be possible to use the appliance normally. CLEANING When cleaning the appliance, you should pay attention to the following points: • Remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning. • Never use scouring powder, steel scourers or other strong cleaning agents to clean the interior or exterior surfaces of the appliance, as they may scratch the surfaces. Instead use a cloth dampened with hot water, and add washing-up liquid if the appliance is very dirty. • Make sure that no water gets into the vent holes on the underside of the appliance.
