The consequences that could result from failure to obser ve the precautions listed in this section are indicated by the following symbols: This icon marks warnings, information that should be read before using the scanner to prevent possible serious injury or death. WARNINGS Do not disassemble or modify • The interior of the scanner contains areas of high voltage. Removing the scanner’s cover could result in fire or electric shock. Contact your dealer or Nikon ser vice office for inspection or repair. • Do not modify. Modification could result in fire or electric shock. Do not touch exposed parts Should the product break open as the result of a fall or other accident, do not touch the exposed par ts. Failure to obser ve this precaution could result in injury or electric shock. Unplug the power cable and take the product to a Nikon-authorized service center for inspection. Unplug the equipment immediately should you notice anything out of the ordinary • Should you notice an unusual noise, smell, or smoke coming from the equipment, turn the scanner off at once and unplug the power cable. Use a power cord rated for the appropriate voltage.
