Press the or button to review the other caller’s numbers If the Caller ID number exceeds 7 digits, you can dial the number in different ways. Press the 1 key to dial the number shown with the 1. Caller ID Call Waiting If you have subscribed to Call Waiting service from your local telephone company, this telephone will indicate the name and number of the second caller while you are having a conversation with the first caller. You can press the F button to answer the 2nd caller. After the call, you can press this button once more to continue with your original conversation. Background Information Hearing Aid Compatibility Your ClearSounds A55 can be used with hearing aids and Cochlear Processors equipped with a telecoil (T-coil). Adjust your hearing aid “T-switch” to the “T” position. Make sure to hold the handset close to your hearing aid. Even so, this handset & base can communicate over only a certain distance – which can vary with the location of the base and handset, the weather, and the construction of your home or office. If possible locate the base in a high and central location and stay away from obstructions such as walls. It is also recommended that the base is kept away from electrical appliances such as TVs, PCs or other cordless phones. Using The Headset Feature You can use this telephone hands-free when you connect a 2.5mm headset (purchased separately). To connect, plug the headset into the HEADSET JACK on the left side of the handset. While in the Headset Mode, the volume of the headset is controlled by the telephone and the handset’s earpiece and microphone are disconnected.
