Never discard batteries in fire. • Risk of product damage! When the apparatus is not used for long periods, remove the batter y. • Batteries contain chemical substances, so they should be disposed of properly. 1 Open the batter y compar tment. 2 Inser t 4 x 1. 5 V R14/UM2 /C batteries (not supplied) with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated. 3 Close the batter y compar tment. Tip • When the main unit is powered by bat teries, the backlight turns on for 5 seconds after any operation. Connect power Caution • Risk of product damage!
