• Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities. • If you do not plan to use the clock for a month or more, remove the batteries. For the best performance and longest life, we recommend RadioShack alkaline batteries. + ....# 1. Press on the raised dots on the battery compartment cover and slide the cover off. 2. Insert two AAA batteries in the compartment as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside. 3. Replace the cover. As soon as you install the batteries, the clock beeps once, and the default month, date, and time appear. The temperature at the lower right of the display decreases rapidly until the current temperature appears. If the clock stops operating properly or the display dims, replace the batteries. In the 12– hour format, c FFFF appears for a PM hour. • If you press ALARM SET I, C/F, or ALARM ON/OFF I during the time setting, the clock automatically returns to the previous setting. Settingthe Alarm • While setting the alarm time, if you do not press a key for about 30 seconds, the clock returns to the current time display. • Pressing SNOOZE & LIGHT or 8during the alarm time activates the snooze function. • When you close the cover to store the clock, the setting controls are exposed.
