The manufacturer will not be held responsible for any damage caused by improper or misuse of the appliance • Connect it only to the voltage stated on the characteristics plate. • Be sure to assemble the electric sweeper correctly before using it. • Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is operating. • This appliance must not be used by persons (including children) with physical, sensory or mental impairments unless they have been instructed in its correct use by a responsible adult. • Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. • Do not attempt to charge the appliance at temperatures below 0.C or above 40.C. • Do not dismantle the appliance while the motor is still operating. • Do not use the sweeper without the dirt container • Always keep the opening clean. • Keep fingers, hair and other parts of the body, as well as clothing, away from the rotating brush. • Do not use the electric sweeper for cleaning up liquids or soaked materials. • Never use the appliance to suck up flammable liquids or anything that may be still burning such as cigarette butts or ash/ cinders. Never vacuum up toxic materials, solvents or acids. • Do not vacuum up hard, cutting or sharp edged materials. • Do not use wet hands nor tug on the cable in order to unplug it. • Do not leave the plug hanging freely. • Do not expose the appliance to outdoor weather conditions, moisture or heat. Do not leave the appliance beside hot ovens, heaters or radiators. • Do not leave the appliance close to heat sources nor allow the cable to come into contact with hot surfaces. • Do not use it on rough concrete surfaces. • Be sure to switch the electric sweeper off before cleaning the rotating brush. • Do not handle the sweeper or put it on charge with wet hands. • Only use the charger supplied for charging the batteries. • Store the electric sweeper in a dry, safe place indoors. • Do not use the charger if faulty. • Unplug the charger when it is not being used. • Do not knock against or scratch the walls, the floor or furniture. • Do not use the electric sweeper on rugs made of towelling as it could stop the brush from rotating and damage the motor. • DO NOT IMMERSE THE MOTOR HOUSING, CABLE OR TRANSFORMER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. • Do not take the batteries out of their compartment. • Do not switch the appliance on if either the cable or plug are damaged, if it can be detected that it is not operating correctly or if it has suffered any type of damage. • Always switch the appliance off after use, before charging it and before attaching or removing any of the pieces. • Unplug the appliance before cleaning it or carr ying out any type of maintenance work. • Any type of repair work other than that stated in “Cleaning & Maintenance” must be done exclusively by an Authorised Technical Service Centre. ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE Assembling the handle for the sweeper: Figure 1. Attach the rigid tube (4) to the base section of the handle (5). Figure 2. Attach the telescopic tube (2) to the rigid tube (4). Figure 3. Unlock the telescopic tube by moving the adjustment button (3) and sliding it out to the desired length. Figure 4. Once the handle for the electric sweeper has been assembled it can be folded back to the upright position, even allowing the sweeper to rotate slightly to the left and right. Figure 5. CHARGING THE BATTERY Charge up the vacuum cleaner’s batteries for approximately 16 hours before using it for the first time. Figure 6. Insert the charger jack (15) into the batter y charger (12) on the appliance. The charge indicator (13) will light up. This indicator will remain lit as long as the vacuum cleaner is plugged in, even if the batter y is fully charged. The vacuum cleaner will become warm while it is charging. This is quite normal and will not interfere with the appliance’s safety or operation. The vacuum cleaner can always be left to charge when it is not in use. This will ensure that the battery is always fully charged and ready for use. IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the vacuum cleaner must be switched off before charging it.
