Important Safety Instructions In this manual, on the labeling, and all other information provided with this product: This is the safety alert symbol. It is used to alert you to potential personal injury hazards. Obey all safety messages that follow this symbol to avoid possible injury or death. DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury. WARNING indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury. CAUTION, used with the safety alert symbol, indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in minor or moderate injury. NOTICE is used to address practices not related to personal injury. CAUTION, without the safety alert symbol, is used to address practices not related to personal injury. Read All Instructions Personal Safety Dress Properly - Do not wear loose 1. clothing or jewelry. They can be caught in moving parts. Use of rubber gloves and substantial footwear is recommended when working outdoors. Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair. Wear ANSI-approved dust 2. mask/respirator when vacuuming to prevent injury resulting from possible dust inhalation. 3. Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and heavy-duty work gloves. Do not Overreach - Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Stay Alert - Watch what you are 4. doing. Use common sense. Do not operate Tool when you are tired. 5. Wear thick jeans and steel-toed work boots to help prevent injury caused by flying debris. Read and adhere to all safety 6. precautions provided by the manufacturer of your dust collection system. Rolling Sweep Use and Care Keep Children Away - All visitors 1. should be kept at a distance from work area. When servicing use only identical 2. replacement parts. Use Right Tool - Do not use Tool for 3. any job except that for which it is intended. Functions This tool can be used to vacuum dust 1. and small debris from a shop floor, when a 4” flexible hose (not included) from the shop dust collection system is attached. Note: For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, refer to the Assembly Diagram near the end of this manual. Assembly Upper Handle Section (13) must be 1. attached to Lower Handle Section (8) prior to use. Insert Upper Handle Section (13) into 2. Lower Handle Section (8) and fasten together using Phillips Head Screw (15). Before operating the Rolling Sweep, 1. put on ANSI-approved safety goggles and other safety gear which are sold separately. To Attach a Flexible Vacuum Hose The Swivel Connecting Tube (5) is 1. designed to accept a standard 4” flexible collection hose (not included). Insert your flexible hose into the Con2. necting Tube (5). If necessary, use a band clamp or adapter (not included) to secure the hose. Operating the Sweep The Handle Assembly (8, 13) is de1. signed to swivel on the Connecting Tube (5).
