Issues and workarounds
•
Issue: In OA firmware version 4.0 and later the Add-HPOASSHKey and
Start-HPOASSHKeyDownload cmdlets might return the error The submitted file is
not a valid SSH key.
Workaround: Continue to retry the cmdlet. It may take up to 10 retries to successfully execute the
cmdlet.

Issue: The HPiLOCmdlets uninstall can modify the PSModulePath environment variable to remove
the path to the HPOACmdlets module. This causes the HPOACmdlets (if installed) to not be
available unless you use Import-Module to locate them for PowerShell.
Workaround: If this occurs, the HPOACmdlets should be reinstalled. To prevent this from happening,
install the HP iLO Cmdlets v1.1.0.1 or later. To download the cmdlets go to http://www.hp.com/
go/powershell.

Issue: The Set-HPOAEnclosure cmdlet will sometimes not set values on an OA when multiple
parameters are specified.
Workaround: Set one parameter value at a time instead.

Issue: When running Get-Help *hpoa* -Full for the first time after installation, the return
data does not contain the full help details of OA cmdlets.
Workaround: Run Import-Module HPOACmdlets or get help for a specific cmdlet (for example,
Get-Help Find-HPOA) before running Get-Help *hpoa* -Full after installation.

Issue: Find-HPOA may fail to find an OA by IPv6 address in systems with a proxy server
configured. When the issue is observed, the system can ping to the IPv6 address and the browser
can get the OA xml reply through the IPv6 address. When this issue occurs,
Get-HPOADiscoveryInfo also fails to get the OA data and Get-HPOARackInfo gets only
limited OA data. Other cmdlets are not impacted.
Workaround: Do not use proxy server in LAN settings of Internet Explorer Internet Options.
