1 HP 3PARInfo 1.3 Release Information
This document contains HP 3PARInfo 1.3 release information.
Description
HP 3PARInfo is provided with HP 3PAR System Reporter apart from being available as a web
download. You can use this utility to obtain configuration information about HP 3PAR LUNs that
are exposed to the host from an HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage arrays.
You can obtain the following information using HP 3PARInfo:
•
List of LUNs exposed to the hosts
•
Information about a specific LUN that is exposed to the host
Changes in HP 3PARInfo 1.3 over 1.2.2 version
HP 3PARInfo supports the following:
•
New platforms
◦
EXSi 5.5
◦
Solaris 10,11 SPARC, Solaris 10,11 x86
•
HP 3PAR OS 3.2.1

Known issues
The following issues are known to exist in HP 3PARInfo 1.3:
•
On HP-UX 11i v3 and ESX/ESXi (both base and VMs), a LUN is reported only once if multiple
paths are present.
•
The LUN ID is displayed as zero for all the Virtual Volumes (VVs) on a VM that is hosted on
an ESX server.
NOTE:
The LUN ID is displayed as zero even when the cat /proc/scsi/scsi command
and the lscsi commands are executed.
•
HP 3PARInfo does not identify the virtual devices that are created (exposed) using VMware
datastore.
•
HP 3PARInfo does not report Snap CPG Name for virtual copy with HP 3PAR OS 3.1.1, this
issue does not exist with HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2.
•
On Windows, HP3PARInfo execution fails when a user who does not have administrator
privilege attempts to execute it.
