12. use correct harnesses. never use oversized or multiple harnesses in the hook. Use harnesses that are rated for the load being lifted. 13. do not eXpose the hoist or cords to Wet or rainy conditions. Moisture greatly increases the risk of a shock hazard. 14. entanglement hazard. do not hold the cable during operating– clothing and body parts may get caught in the mechanism. 15. never use the hoist for horizontal pulling or dragging. the hoist is designed for vertical movement of a load only.
