• DO NOT store the device in extreme hot or cold temperatures, high humidity or under direct sunlight. • DO NOT wrap cord around device when storing. • Store nebulizer in a safe, dry location where it will not be crushed, banged, or subjected to damage. • Store cord in a safe location where it will not be cut or damaged. Storage 1. Be sure the nebulizer is turned OFF and cord is removed from outlet before storing. 2. Store the repackaged device in a safe, dry area. DO NOT place other objects on top of the repackaged device. SECTION 7—MAINTENANCE Stratos™Compact 24 Part No 1130203 Nebulizer Change The nebulizer is designed for single patient use. The nebulizer MUST be replaced after a long period of inactivity or when it is obstructed by dry medication, dust, etc. The reusable nebulizer should last from six months to one year with general use. The disposable nebulizer should last 30 days. For the nebulizer that is disposable, it is recommended that an extra nebulizer be kept at all times. Filter Change 1. The filter MUST be replaced after approximately 30 hours of use or when it turns grey. 2. Open the filter holder to replace the filter with a new one. CAUTION DO NOT use cotton or any other material. DO NOT wash or clean the filter. Use only Invacare filters. DO NOT operate unit without an air filter. SECTION 8—TROUBLESHOOTING Part No 1130203 25 Stratos™Compact SECTION 8—TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM SOLUTION Device does not switch ON. 1. Make sure the plug is firmly fitted to the wall socket. 2. Try plugging into another wall socket that is known to work. 3. Contact your Invacare representative. Device does not nebulize, or it nebulizes weakly. 1. Make sure that the ends of the air tubing are fitted tightly onto the main unit and onto the nebulizer. 2. Check whether the nebulizer is empty of medication or has too much medication (MAX six ml). 3. Check whether the nebulizer nozzle is obstructed;. 4. Check whether the funnel is inserted. If these possible solutions DO NOT work, contact your medical dealer. LIMITED WARRANTY Stratos™Compact 26 Part No 1130203 LIMITED WARRANTY PLEASE NOTE: THE WARRANTY BELOW HAS BEEN DRAFTED TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL LAW APPLICABLE TO PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED AFTER JULY 4, 1975. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser who purchases this product when new and unused from Invacare Corporation or a dealer. This warranty is not extended to any other person or entity and is not transferable or assignable to any subsequent purchaser or owner. Coverage under this warranty will end upon any such subsequent sale or other transfer of title to any other person. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state. Invacare warrants this product when purchased new and unused to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five years from date of purchase from Invacare or a dealer, with a copy of the seller’s invoice required for coverage under this warranty. If within such warranty period any such product shall be proven to Invacare's satisfaction to be defective, such product shall be repaired or replaced, at Invacare's option, with refurbished or new parts. This warranty does not include any labor or shipping charges incurred in replacement part installation or repair of any such product. Product repairs shall not extend this warranty - coverage for repaired product shall end when this limited warranty terminates. This warranty only applies to the labor for repairs performed by the Invacare Service Department. It does not apply to the labor performed by the purchaser or user. This warranty does not include normal wear and tear or shipping charges incurred in replacement part installation or repair of any such product. Product repairs shall LIMITED WARRANTY Part No 1130203 27 Stratos™Compact not extend this warranty - coverage for repaired product shall end when this limited warranty terminates. Invacare’s sole obligation and your exclusive remedy under this warranty shall be limited to such repair and/or replacement. Routine maintenance items, such as filters, are excluded from this warranty. For warranty service, please contact the Invacare service department during normal business hours at the toll-free telephone number identified on the back cover of this manual. Upon receiving notice of an alleged defect in a product, Invacare will issue a serialized return authorization. It shall be the responsibility of the purchaser to pack the product(s) or part(s) in an appropriate manner to avoid shipping damage and return the product(s) or part(s), at the purchaser’s expense, to either Invacare’s plant or service center as specified by Invacare in advance. The defective product(s) or component part(s) must be returned for warranty inspection using the serial number as identification within 30 days of the return authorization date.
