Allow the water tank to drain, then reconnect the suction tube. 28) Repeat steps 24 through 27 two more times to rinse thoroughly. 29) Clean the storage bin liner, door liner, and door gasket with a neutral cleaner. Maintenance IMPORTANT This icemaker must be maintained individually, referring to the instruction manual and labels provided with the icemaker. 1. Stainless Steel Exterior To prevent corrosion, wipe the exterior occasionally with a clean and soft cloth. Use a damp cloth containing a neutral cleaner to wipe off oil or dirt build up. 2. Storage Bin and Scoop • Wash your hands before removing ice. Use the plastic scoop provided. • The storage bin is for ice use only. Do not store anything else in the storage bin. • Clean the scoop and the storage bin liner using a neutral cleaner. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning. 3. Condenser Check the condenser once a year, and clean if required by following the steps below. More frequent cleaning may be required depending on location. WARNING 1. Move the control switch to the "OFF" position and unplug the unit from the electrical outlet before cleaning the condenser. 2. Condenser fins are sharp. Use care when cleaning. 1) Move the control switch to the "OFF" position and unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. 2) Remove the 2 screws securing the front panel, then remove the panel. See Fig. 40. 3) Remove the 2 screws securing the louver, then remove the louver. 4) Use a brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner to gently clean the condenser fins. Do not use too much force, otherwise the fins could be damaged. 5) Replace the louver and front panel in their correct positions. Ensure that the screws are securely in place. 6) Plug the unit back in. Move the control switch to the "ICE" position to start the automatic icemaking process. Preparing the Icemaker for Long Storage CAUTION When storing the icemaker for an extended time or in sub-freezing temperatures, follow the instructions below to prevent damage. When the icemaker is not used for two or three days under normal conditions, it is sufficient to move the control switch to the "OFF" position. When storing the icemaker for an extended time or in sub-freezing temperatures, follow the instructions below. 1) Close the water supply line shut-off valve, then open the water supply line drain valve. See Fig. 23. 2) Allow the line to drain by gravity. 3) Attach a compressed air or carbon dioxide supply to the icemaker water supply line drain. 4) Move the control switch to the "ICE" position. 5) Blow the icemaker water supply line out using the compressed air or carbon dioxide supply. 6) Close the icemaker water supply line drain valve. 7) Move the control switch to the "OFF" position. 8) Unplug the icemaker. 9) Remove all ice from the storage bin. Clean the storage bin liner using a neutral cleaner.
