SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS! INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing this NON-STICK GRIDDLE WITH WARMING DRAWER... This unit is made of die cast aluminum for even heat and coated with a non-stick coating. The handles are heat resistant. It has a drawer to catch fat and grease and another larger drawer to keep foods warm. The detachable plug has a thermostat on it to select the desired heat setting to cook your foods. 3 ASSEMBLY and USE After Taking the Unit Out of the Box: CAUTION- first make sure you put the griddle on a surface that will not be affected by heat! 1. Before use, clean all parts of the unit with a non-abrasive sponge 2. Always place the unit on a flat, clean, non-slippery surface prior to use 3. Allow about 8 inches of clear space all around the exterior of the unit 4. Place drip pan and warming drawer into base 5. Plug the power cord/temperature control into the griddle first with controls in the UP position, making sure the control is in the OFF position. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet and turn switch to the ON position. 6. Put foods that you want to keep warm in the drawer and slide under warm griddle until ready to serve. PLEASE NOTE- when first used, there might be a little smoke, which is normal from first application The following chart will give you suggestions to cook types of food with cooking times and temperature settings: FOOD TIME TEMPERATURE INSTRUCTION Bacon 8 – 14 minutes 325 – 350 F turn food as needed Sausages 20 – 30 minutes 325 – 350 F turn food as needed French Toast 6 – 10 minutes 350 F flip food as needed Hamburgers 3 – 14 minutes 350 F flip pending thickness & doneness Pancakes 2 – 6 minutes 350 F pour batter, flip when bubbles appear You can make grill cheese, eggs, hash browns, pork chops, chicken, steak, and many things. Most meats cook at 400 F. CLEANING: CAUTION - DO NOT PUT BASE IN DISHWASHER 1. Make sure the unit is unplugged before cleaning. 2. Always allow griddle to cool before cleaning. Never immerse in water 3. Also use a slightly damp, non-abrasive sponge or non-abrasive towel to wipe clean outside of unit, then wipe with a non-abrasive dry towel to dry. 4. Wash drip and warming tray with warm soap. Wipe plastic base with a damp cloth. 5. To prolong the life of your non stick coating- never stack objects other than food on the surface and never use a metal spatula or metal tongs to turn or flip foods.
