SERVICING, OR CLEANING IT. • Read all instructions. • To protect against fire, electric shock and injuring to person, do not immerse cord, plugs etc in water. • This product is intended for household use for boiling water. • Do not use this product to heat or other liquids as their boiling point may be lower than water, posing a serious burn hazard. • Do not use the product for any other purpose. • Keep the product out of the reach of children and pets. This product is not intended for use by children. Close supervision is necessary when this product is used near children. • Do not leave the product unattended while it is in use. Always unplug the product from the electrical outlet when it is not in use. • Place the product on a flat steady, stable, heat-resistant surface. • Do not place the product on or near gas or electric burners. • Do not place the product inside or on top of a heated oven or microwave ovens. • Do not use attachments not recommended or sold by the product manufacturer as a risk of fire, electrical shock, or serious personal injury may result. Attachments, when furnished may become hot during use Allow the attachments to completely cool before handling them. • Do not touch hot surfaces. Always use the handle and knobs of the product. Use protective oven mitts or gloves to avoid burns or serious personal injury. • Use extreme caution moving the product when it contains hot water. Allow the product to thoroughly cool before handling it. • This product generates steam during use. Use care to avoid being burned or scalded by the steam. • Keep the Lid in place while heating or operating this product. • Plug the product into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. Never plug the product into an electrical outlet unless it is properly assembled. • Do not allow the Power Cord to hang (i.e. over the edge of a table or counter) where it may be tripped over or pulled. • Keep the Power Cord and product away from heated surfaces. • Unplug the product from the electrical outlet and allow to cool before cleaning, washing, or adding water. • Do not put any stress on the Power Cord where it connects to the product, as the Power Cord could fray and break. • Do not operate the product if the Power cord is cut, damaged, or if the wires are exposed. Do not immerse or expose cord or plug to water or other liquids. • Do not place the product in areas or on surfaces (i.e. carpets) that may be damaged by water or moisture. The user shall be solely and exclusively liable for any and all damage that may occur from water-related mishaps related to used of this product. • Never operate this product if it has a damaged Power Cord or plug, malfunctions or is not working properly, leaks, has been dropped, or damaged. This product has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to examine or repair this product yourself. Only qualified service personnel should perform any servicing. Return the product to a service center for examination and repair. • This product is intended for indoor, household use only. Do not use outdoors. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS POLARIZATION INSTRUCTION: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. NOTE: A short power cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord is required, extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used (1) the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the product; (2) the extension cord should be arranged so that it will not drape (i.e., over a countertop or tabletop) where it can unintentionally be pulled on or tripped over by children or pets. To use: NOTE: In order to ensure the quality of the product, water was boiled in the hot pot prior to shipping. This quality testing may leave spots on the heating plate inside of the product. This is a normal occurrence and should not be viewed as a product defect. CAUTION: Use extreme caution moving the product when it contains hot water. This product generates steam during use. Use care to avoid being burned or scalded by the steam. 1. Ensure the product is unplugged from the electrical outlet and the Power Control Knob is in the “Low” position; 2. Clean the product before each use. Follow the cleaning instructions in the “Care & Maintenance” section. 3. Add water to the product. Keep the product level when adding water. CAUTION: The water level should not exceed above the MAX line or fall below the MIN line (both lines indicated on the inside of the product). Do not overfill the product.
