manual abstract

Recognizing the critical nature of your networked requirements, this offers a robust level of redundancy, thus eliminating potential for total system failure. DIPS Digitizes Images For Super Clarity Instead of producing originals the traditional way, Canon’s patented Digital Image Processing System (DIPS) translates original images into digital form and then prints them—using a high-quality invisible ray laser—at up to 1200 x 600 dpi resolution, resulting in astounding digital clarity. DIPS also uses advanced Artificial Intelligence to improve contrast and text sharpness, often proving to be better than the original itself. Ease-of-use With the Touch of a Button For maximum productivity, all imageRUNNER 330/400 Series models are designed with a user-friendly, integrated LCD touch-panel. For operations that require monitoring, Canon has provided a simple interface that allows users to complete tasks in fewer steps. Just the touch of a button can copy, fax or edit documents, leaving the operator free to do other tasks. Although the imageRUNNER 330/400 Series comes standard with a 1,050-sheet, statement-to-ledger paper supply, it can accommodate paper-intensive operations with available paper supply options, including: 1. Cassette Feeding Unit-R1: This option adds four 500sheet paper trays to the standard two 500-sheet trays, bringing total paper capacity to 3,000 sheets. 2. Cassette Feeding Unit-S1: This option adds two 500sheet paper trays and a device pedestal to the standard two 500-sheet trays, bringing total paper capacity to 2,000 sheets. 3. Paper Deck-B1: Holding 3,500 sheets of letter-sized paper, the Paper Deck-B1, when used with the Cassette Feeding Unit-S1, provides a total paper capacity of 5,500 sheets. A standard, 50-sheet stack bypass offers convenient handling of transparencies, labels and other media as an extra source tray supporting the above options. High-level Finishing and Paper-handling Beyond Comparison To enhance the quality of your printed communications and improve office efficiency, the imageRUNNER 330/400 Series offers a wide range of standard features and optional accessories, including: • The optional DADF-A1 Automatic Document Feeder (standard on imageRUNNER 330N/400N) lets you stack up to 50 originals, statement to ledger. • The optional DADF-B1 Automatic Document Feeder lets you stack up to 30 originals, statement to ledger. • The Finisher-E1 (Stapler Stacker) holds up to 1,000 prints, copies or faxes from statement to letter, and up to 500 sheets of legal to ledger paper. Plus, the Finisher-E1 can staple sets of up to 30 sheets. • The Finisher-C1 (Multiposition Auto Stapler) has three output trays to receive finished print, copy and fax output, with one stationary interrupt tray for separation of print and fax output. • The Finisher-C2 (Saddle-stitch Finisher) has five output trays, including interrupt tray, and offers multiposition stapling up to 50 sheets, and saddle- stitch finishing up to 15 sheets. imageRUNNER 33 0 / 4 0 0 S e r i e s Co n n e c t i v i t y S c a n F a x P r i n t C o p y S c a n Wo r k s t a t i o n C l i e n t P C S e r v e r C l i e n t P C C l i e n t P C S u b d i r e c t o r y Expansion Boards For Added Functionality* The following expansion boards give your system the ability to print, fax or scan and interface with other systems in your office network: 1. NetworkMulti-PDL Printer Board-H1 (Standard on imageRUNNER 330N/400N only) The NetworkMulti-PDL Board-H1 provides a direct 10/100 Ethernet connection to your local area network. Operating at 200MHz with a 32MB standard memory and 2.1GB Hard Drive, this high-performance network print connection is equipped for both PCL5e and PostScript 3 printing, and also offers multiple protocol support for many network and computer operating system platforms. 2. Network Printer Board-K1 (Optional for imageRUNNER 330S/400S only) While the Network Printer Board-K1 offers the same performance as the NetworkMulti-PDL Printer Board-H1, it is specifically designed for PCL printing environments only. This printer board can be configured for the imageRUNNER 330S/400S with the pre-installation of the Expansion Board Base Unit-C1, required for adding extra functionality to these models. 3. Token Ring Interface Kit-TR4 (Optional on all imageRUNNER 330/400 models) Ideally suited for driving full-device performance over Token Ring networks, this optional board can be equipped on either Network Printer Board, and supports environments operating at 4/16 Mbps via RJ-45 and DB-9 connections, with multiple-protocol support and integration within Canon’s NetSpot architecture. 4. Super G3 Fax Board-F1 The Super G3 Fax Board-F1 provides more productivity than stand-alone facsimile machines. With JBIG compression, a 33.6 Kbps transmission speed, and a memory upgradable to 96MB to support up to 1,000 sheets, the Super G3 Fax Board-F1 is a flexible alternative to traditional, “non-networked” fax devices. 5. Super G3 Dual Line Fax Bo...
