Make sure legs are positioned solidly. To Set Up cont. Installing Grate Supports ¦ Turn KNOB to off position. ¦ Slide 4 GRATE SUPPORTS into channels on base. Push down firmly. Installing Windscreen ¦ Align notch on WINDSCREEN with channel on base. Push down to secure. Installing Control Knob ¦ Push KNOB onto regulator as shown. Installing Water Pan, Grilling ¦ Place GRILLING SURFACE over Surface and Warming Rack water pan as shown. ¦ Position WATER PAN on grate supports as shown. ¦ Fill to line indicated on WATER PAN A ¦ Position WARMING RACK into holes on windscreen. ¦ Be sure hooks on WARMING RACK are facing upward. To Set Up cont. To Light Attach propane cylinder ¦ Make sure burner valve is turned to off position. ¦ Remove plastic cap from top of propane cylinder and screw propane cylinder into REGULATOR hand tight. Leak Check ¦ Make 2-3 oz. of leak check solution (one part liquid dishwashing detergent and three parts water). ¦ Check the connection between the cylinder and the regulator with soapy water. Bubbles indicate a leak. Never use a flame. Check that the connection is not cross-threaded and that it is tight. Perform another leak check. If there is still a leak, remove the cylinder and contact Coleman for service or repairs. CAUTION • SERVICE SAFETY Keep all connections and fittings clean. Inspect propane cylinder and stove propane connections for damage before attaching. During set up, check all connections and fittings for leaks using soapy water. Bubbles indicate a leak. Never use a flame. DANGER • EXPLOSION - FIRE HAZARD • Propane is heavier than air and can accumulate in low places. If you smell gas, leave the area immediately. • Always attach or detach propane source outdoors; never while stove is lighted, near flame, pilot lights, other ignition sources or while stove is hot to touch. • This stove is red hot during use and can ignite flammables too close to the burners. Keep flammables at least 12 inches from the sides and 48 inches from the top of the stove. Keep gasoline and other flammable liquids and vapors well away from stove. ¦ Set on sturdy, flat area. ¦ Adjust flame with BURNER For outdoor use only. VALVE. ¦ Insert lighted match through hole ¦ Flame should be blue with hint of in GRILLING SURFACE and open yellow on tips. BURNER VALVE. 7A To Light cont. To Turn Off To Clean cont. WARNING • BURN HAZARD • Never leave stove unattended when hot or in use. • Keep out of reach of children. Preheating: ¦ Allow the grilling surface to preheat on full power for 1 minute to reach the ideal cooking temperature for grilling food. Cooking: ¦ The grilling surface has been treated with a high quality, nonstick coating on which food can be cooked in a healthy way without adding fat. ¦ As the fat is collected in the water tray, the food is cooked (with no residual or burned fat) and remains tasty and tender. ¦ The grilling surface reaches its highest temperature (ideal for searing grilled meat) after one minute of pre-heating. ¦ Never leave the cooking plate on without food placed on it for longer than the one minute preheating time, otherwise you will damage the special coating. ¦ Place the food on the grilling surface and then use the knob that controls the gas output to adjust the cooking temperature to suit your requirements. ¦ It is also possible to adjust the cooking intensity by positioning the food at different places on the grilling surface. The temperature is higher in the center and lower towards the outer edge. ¦ Do not handle the grilling surface when it is in use. To add water to the water tray, pour into the hole marked “A”. ¦ Close BURNER VALVE firmly. DANGER To Clean ¦ Remove propane cylinder from REGULATOR and replace plastic cap on cylinder. • EXPLOSION - FIRE HAZARD • Never store propane near high heat, open flames, pilot lights, direct sunlight, other ignition sources or where temperatures exceed 120 degrees F (49°C). • Refillable propane tanks must always be stored outdoors in a well ventilated space. Never store propane tank in an enclosed area (house, garage, etc.).
