HOW TO COOK RICE: Before each use, make sure that the outside of the rice bowl is clean and dry and that the heat sensor in the centre, on the inside of the base, is clean, dry and cool. Handle the rice bowl carefully. Scratching or denting the bowl may result in unsatisfactory performance. 1. Measure rice and water and place evenly in rice bowl. NEVER PUT ANY LIQUID INTO THE BASE. The lid has to be used during the entire preparation time. NOTE: There are differing opinions about whether rice should be washed before cooking. Drier fluffier rice is obtained by washing rice first. 2. Place rice bowl in base and lid on rice bowl. Make sure the bowl is placed properly sat onto the base. 3. Plug cord into a 230 Volt AC outlet. The power is now on and remain on while the appliance is plugged in. 4. Hold the function button down to start cooking. Unplug the rice cooker before removing lid and rice bowl from the base. NOTE: Rice may be kept warm for up to 5 hours. To stop the automatic keep warm cycle, simply unplug from wall outlet.
