CAUTION: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the computer). CAUTION: To help prevent damage to the system board, remove the main battery (see “Removing the Battery Pack” on page 11) before working inside the computer. CAUTION: To avoid damage to the display, you must not disassemble your Edge-to-Edge display assembly in the field. Display Assembly Removing the Display Assembly Follow the instructions in “Before You Begin” on page 1. 6. Remove the battery pack (see “Removing the Battery Pack” on page 2. 11). Remove the compartment door (see “Removing the Compartment Door” on 3. page 14). Remove the hard drive (see “Removing the Hard Drive” on page 4. 17). Remove the memory module(s) (see “Removing the Memory Module(s)” on 5. page 21). Remove the center control cover (see “Removing the Center Control Cover” 6. on page 30).
