INSPECTIONUnbox the air compressor and write in the serial number in the space provided below. Inspect for signs of obviousor concealed freight damage. Be sure that all damaged parts are replaced and any mechanical problems arecorrected prior to the operation of the air compressor. Electrical shock may occur fromelectrical cord. Electrical shock may occur if air compressor is not operated properly. Serious injury or death may occurif electrical repairs are attemptedby unqualified persons. Make sure the air compressor isplugged into a properly groundedoutlet which provides correctvoltage and adequate fuseprotection. Check power cord for signs ofcrushing,cutting or heat damage. Replace faulty cord before use. Keep all connections dry and offthe ground.Do not allow electricalcords to lay in water or in such aposition where water could comein contact with them.Do not touchplug with wet hands. Do not pull on the electrical cord to disconnect from the outlet. Never operate air compressor inwet conditions or outdoors when itis raining. Never operate air compressor with safety guards/covers removed or damaged. Any electrical wiring or repairsperformed on this air compressorshould be done by AuthorizedService Personnel in accordancewith National and Local electricalcodes. Before opening any electricalenclosure,always shut off theair compressor,relieve pressureand unplug the air compressorfrom the power source.Allow aircompressor to cool down.Neverassume the air compressor is safe to work on just because it is not operating.It could restart at any time! 5POTENTIAL CONSEQUENCE PREVENTIONHAZARDRISK OFBURSTINGRISK OFEXPLOSION OR FIRESAFETY WARNINGSREAD ALL SAFETY WARNINGS BEFORE USING AIR COMPRESSORSerious injury or death may occurfrom normal electrical sparks in motor and pressure switch. Serious injury may occur if any aircompressor ventilation openings are restricted,causing the air compressor to overheat and start on fire. Serious injury or death may occur from an air tank explosion if air tanks are not properly maintained. Serious injury may occur froman air compressor malfunction orexploding accessories if incorrectsystem components,attachmentsor accessories are used. Always operate air compressor in a well ventilated area free offlammable vapors,combustibledust,gases or other combustiblematerials. If spraying flammable material, locate the air compressor at least20 feet away from the spray area. (An additional hose may berequired.) Never place objects against or ontop of air compressor.Operateair compressor at least 12 inchesaway from any wall or obstructionthat would restrict properventilation. Drain air tank daily or after eachuse to prevent moisture buildup inthe air tank. If air tank develops a leak,replacethe air tank immediately.Neverrepair,weld or make modificationsto the air tank or its attachments. Use only genuine Senco ® repairparts for your air compressor. Never make adjustments to thefactory set pressures. Never exceed manufacturersmaximum allowable pressurerating of attachments. Because of extreme heat,donot use plastic pipe or lead tinsoldered joints for a dischargeline. Never use air compressor toinflate small,low pressure objectssuch as toys. 6POTENTIAL CONSEQUENCE PREVENTIONHAZARDRISK OF FLYINGOBJECTSRISK OFBURNSRISK TOBREATHINGSAFETY WARNINGSREAD ALL SAFETY WARNINGS BEFORE USING AIR COMPRESSORSerious injury or death could occurfrom inhaling compressed air.The air stream may contain carbon monoxide,toxic vapors or solidparticles. Sprayed materials such as paint, paint solvents,paint remover, insecticides,weed killers,etc. contain harmful vapors andpoisons. Serious injury could occurfrom touching exposed metalparts.These areas can remainhot for some time after the aircompressor is shutdown. Soft tissue damage can occurfrom the compressed air stream. Serious injury can occur fromloose debris being propelled at ahigh speed from the compressedair stream. Never inhale air from the aircompressor either directly or froma breathing device connected tothe air compressor. Operate air compressor only in a well ventilated area.Follow all safety instructions provided with the materials you are spraying. Use of a respirator may be required when working with some materials. Never allow any part of your bodyor other materials...
