Before using the instrument, please properly attach the left frame using the proce dure described below. 1. Fully loosen [frame attachment screw 1] located in the Frame attachment screw 1 q First, insert the lower rod into the main body. w Then, insert the upper rod. Attachment of the frame is now complete. To remove the frame, simply reverse the order of the procedure described above, removing the upper rod from tha main body before removing the lower rod. area behind the 12th fret, and [frame attachment screw 2] located at the end of the Silent Guitar’s main body. 2.Insert the lower rod of the left frame fully into the bracket hole on the Silent Guitar’s main body. Next, insert the upper rod fully into the bracket hole. •. Make. sure. that. the. upper. and. lower. ends. of. the. left. frame.are.not.reversed.. •. Do. not. place. any. excess. force. on. the. frame’s. rods.. The.rods.may.become.damaged. 3.After confirming that both rods of the left frame are fully inserted, turn the attachment screws clockwise and secure the left frame to the Silent Guitar’s main body. • W h e n m o v i n g a n y m o v a b l e p a r t s , make sure that your fingers or hand do not become pinched in the parts. • Do not tighten the attachment screws when the frame is removed. It will re- sult in the damage of parts, which will cause problems when re-attaching the frame. Frame attachment screw 2 qRod wRod OPENLINEOUTAUXINAUXVOLMINMAX •. After.the.frame.is.attached,.make.sure.attachment.screws.1.and.2.are.tightened.firmly..Using.the.instru- ment.with.the.screws.loose.will.result.in.rattle.or.other.noise.during.performance . •. When. transpor ting. the. instrument,. please. carry. the. instrument. by. its. neck. or. main. body.. Holding. the. instrument.by.only.its.left.or.right.frame.will.result.in.damage.of.the.frame.or.the.frame’s.fixed.parts. ¦.About.the.Strap.Pin The frame attachment screw can be used as a strap pin for a separately purchased guitar strap. •. Make. sure. that. the. strap. is. firmly. hooked. onto. the. strap. pin. so. the. instrument. does. not. drop. during. performance . Changing Strings As the strings get old, sound quality will gradually decrease, and it will become difficult to tune the instrument. Change the strings as soon as you think they are getting old. Make sure you purchase a set of nylon guitar strings. The Silent Guitar uses a string length of 650mm (25-9/16 inch). •. The.end.of.the.strings.are.sharp.and.can.cut.fingers..Use.caution.when.changing.strings. •. When.changing.or.adjusting.strings,.do.not.put.your.face.close.to.the.instrument..The.string.may.sud- denly.break.resulting.in.eye.or.other.unexpected.injuries. •. The.pickup.sensor.is.set.into.the.bridge.underneath.the.saddle..When.changing.strings,.please.change. them.one.at.a.time.to.prevent.the.saddle.or.pickup.from.moving. . If. the. saddle. is. removed,. make. sure. that. the. sensor. does. not. get. moved..When. attaching. the. saddle,. make.sure.that.the.saddle’s.lowest.end.is.positioned.under.the.first.string. 1. Thread the string through the corresponding string hole on the bridge, then tie the string as shown in the illustration below. After tying the knot, pull both ends of the string to make the knot firm on the bridge. bridge neck side Make sure the last knot is positioned over the edge of the bridge. * If the string slips (1st, 2nd, 3rd strings) tie one more knot. 2. Next, tie the strings to the pegs. Hold the guitar so the head is facing you and wind the strings onto the pegs as shown in the illustration below. •.Winding.the.1st,.2nd.and.3rd.strings.A Make the first wind to the left of the hole, and the remaining winds to the right. •.Winding.the.4th,.5th.and.6th.strings.B Make the first wind to the right of the hole, and the remaining winds to the left. AAABBB 3. After all six strings are strung, tune the guitar properly. Power Supply The Silent Guitar operates either on battery power or with an AC adaptor however, it will consume more power when the reverb function is in use.
